John Oliver Talks Unions and corporate America's tactics to sack them by hiring union busting attorneys. For workers who are already in a union these same scumbags teach managers how to destroy the labor relations process. At the end of the day it is union member’s solidarity that beats them back. AT&T’s Vaccine Mandate!
11/02/21 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
Yesterday, in AT&T’s News Now email publication the Company released information about THEIR; “New vaccine policy for IBEW-represented Wireline employees”. This is the policy AT&T corporate executives are enforcing. This policy is not one that has been agreed to by the IBEW SCT-3 Council. Time after time company negotiators have rejected reasonable proposals. It appears as if the company only came to the table to say “No!” so that they could just ram their policy down your throats. On October 22, 2021 we filed an unfair labor practice charge with the NLRB against AT&T.

City of Chicago Employee Vaccine Notice
10/09/21 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
The City distributed a notice along with employee paychecks that says: "Effective October 15, 2021, City of Chicago Employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19." This statement by the City directly contradicts the communications and bargaining proposals it has made to the collective group of Unions that represent City employees. This group of Unions are exploring filing an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge at the Illinois Labor Relations Board related to the City's conduct. The importance of the October 15 date, based on written and oral communications and bargaining proposals the City has made, is that everyone must upload their vaccination status onto the City's Vaccination Portal by that date: www.chicago.gov/vaxportal. If you are vaccinated, that's all you have to do. If you are not vaccinated, you will have to show negative COVID-19 tests to go to work
CBRE Mandatory Vaccine Discussions

IBEW Local 21 has been contacted by management representatives from CBRE regarding mandatory Covid 19 vaccinations.  We will be entering into negotiations with the company on their policy. Most can agree on the need for employees to be vaccinated and we realize Covid vaccinations can be a sensitive and personal issue for some employees. When negotiations take place State, Federal, CDC, OSHA and Department of Labor guidelines will be taken into consideration. All of our employers must be open to considering reasonable options for employees who have legitimate medical reasons for declining to be vaccinated.
