Business Manager: Tony Swift
TONY0116-003Mr. Swift oversees all aspects of the local, and is responsible for working with contractors, as well as contract negotiations and other responsibilities in our jurisdiction and on a national level.He works every day to make this local the best that it can possibly be. Tony is also a avid turkey hunter, and eagerly awaits the season every year.

Assistant Business Manager: Rob Axford

20160617_112448Rob Axford is our Assistant Business Manager, and as such, he often assists Tony with his job. He also helps to manage the CE/CW program, researches contractor bid leads for our signatories, and serves an an instructor for the JATC. Rob’s passions, besides teaching and his job, include building computers, creating epoxy tables, and caring for his salt water aquariums.

Office Manager: Cynthia Watke

20160616_155739Cynthia is our office manager and is responsible for many things in the day-to-day operations of the union hall. She regularly deals with the bookkeeping, customer service, insurance and financial side of the hall’s operations, and processes membership dues. Cynthia’s favorite hobby is painting, and she is particularly fond of abstract art. Dispatcher / Office Support:  Joshua Nixon

20160616_155645Josh performs several  necessary functions at the hall. He is the author of the Local’s newsletters and articles sent to the Electrical Worker, newsletter of the International office. He creates blog posts and content here on our website, in addition to his duties of dispatching our Journeymen Wiremen. He is all-around assistant in the office, jumping in to help whenever necessary. He enjoys reading, bicycling, and going to antique car shows.       Email: jnixon@ibew553.org

Apprenticeship Training Director: Rebecca Axford

20160617_115053Rebecca is the current  training director of the local JATC Apprenticeship program, which helps beginners interested in the electrical field to be educated and have hands-on experience in the industry. She is a fervent believer in lifelong learning and continuing education. She strives to make education something that helps people lead successful, happy, and productive lives.
